pH Neutral (with a little p)

pH Neutral (with a little p)

Did you know that a dog’s skin is around pH 7 (neutral), whereas a human’s skin is around 5.5 (acidic)?

This is why using pH neutral dog shampoo is important. Human shampoos are irritating to a dog, stripping protective oils from the skin & coat over time.

A lot of pet shampoos claim 'pH balanced' which is not the same as 'pH neutral'. This is a lot harder to achieve, but better for our furry friends.

It may take 4-5 washes to notice that a cheap or unsuitable shampoo or conditioner is damaging the coat, as a dog’s hair follicle is made up of multiple hairs within each follicle.
